But if you&#8217;re not very knowledgeable about the subject, you&#8217;ve probably wondered: What&#8217;s the big deal about being &#8220;gay&#8221; or belonging to this community? What&#8217;s the big deal about expressing LGBTQ+ pride? And why do companies make such a big deal out of it?    <\/p>\n<p>PRIDE, also known as Pride Month, or LGBTQ+ Pride Day, is a commemoration that celebrates diversity, helping to bring visibility to the struggles and achievements of the LGBTQ+ community. But it&#8217;s not just about parades and rainbows. It&#8217;s a reminder that inclusion is a driver of innovation and a fundamental human right.  <\/p>\n<p>It is about activism and strengthening support circles and activist groups that demand equal rights, respectful treatment for all, and fight the invisibility of discriminatory treatment and hate crimes with a clear message: <strong>Be proud of who you are, embrace your identity, and don&#8217;t allow yourself to be belittled because of your tastes, preferences or sexual orientation!<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"font-weight: bold; font-size: 24px;\"><span style=\"color: #233f6d;\">Why is it important to make PRIDE visible?<\/span><\/h1>\n<p>Let&#8217;s talk about the LGBTQ+ community in Mexico in quick facts:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">In Mexico, according to the ENDISEG 2021, <strong>more than 5 million people<\/strong> identify themselves as part of the LGBTQ+ community.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The <strong>Pride March in CDMX<\/strong> is one of the largest in the world.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">A <strong>high percentage of LGBTQ+ people<\/strong> face employment discrimination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We could talk about the alarming numbers of hate crimes, but we&#8217;d rather invite you to do some research on the subject or visit the exhibition: <a href=\"https:\/\/artsandculture.google.com\/story\/lgbt-museo-de-la-memoria-y-tolerancia\/JQXRTxZPmBVMIQ?hl=es-419\"><strong><span>LGBT+ Beyond the Rainbow<\/span><\/strong><\/a>to raise awareness and avoid promoting morbid attitudes.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #176bef;\"><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">You may be interested in: <a href=\"\/conoce-las-7-vs-del-big-data\" rel=\"noopener\" style=\"color: #176bef;\"><em>Know the 7 V&#8217;s of Big Data<\/em><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>But that leaves us with an interesting question: why do companies care so much?
