The challenge
Inter Digital as part of its strategy required to migrate its services securely from another cloud to GCP in order to reduce costs, improve performance and monitoring of
its services to be able to translate it into a better service to its end customers who access its Segurify portal.
The solution
The solution provides a migration with native GCP tools as well as the use of elastic, self-managed and secure resources. Migrate for Virtual Machine, Database Migration Service and Storage Transfer were used for the migration stage and Managed Instance Group, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Load Balancers protected by Cloud Armor plus Cloud Monitoring and Alerting were used for the implementation.
The result
The results were visible: 100% improvement in the visibility and monitoring of the services deployed, as well as improvement in the performance of the databases not managed for the operation, making the most of the investment made.
