Streamlining news and content delivery with Google’s global network
Organización Editorial Mexicana (OEM) is the largest print media group in Mexico, as well as one of the largest publishing houses in Latin America, the group has 43 news websites, 70 print newspapers, as well as 24 radio stations. Its newspaper La Prensa is considered the most widely read print media in Mexico with 450,000 daily readers.
OEM carried out a process of technological evolution with Google Cloud, where a strategy of distribution and consumption of digital content was essential, the needs demand a stable, reliable and elastic platform, since the increase of digital users for OEM is exponential. With more than 40 news sites, 2.5 million users per month and more than 17 million visits, the challenge is important.
OEM’s service architecture based on Google Container Engine and Google Cloud SQL has allowed it to have close to 100% availability, as well as an efficient infrastructure aligned with best practices for news portals.
