Amarello, together with the Navent team, achieved a successful migration by applying all their experience to implement an optimal data architecture in GCP, with a realistic roadmap, which will also deliver improvements and benefits to the business.
The results
A 3X time reduction was observed in the consumption of analytics in Business Intelligence tools. Costs were improved by the native elasticity of GCP. Data and process bottlenecks were solved. The data team reduced its operational load by 10% and is expected to achieve 40%, to focus that effort on delivering value to the business.
The solution
The cornerstone of the solution is BigQuery for its high elastic processing power that is also cost-effective and the implementation of data security measures at all levels. Cloud Composer helped improve the architecture through its capabilities to orchestrate the data lifecycle in a robust way and Data Fusion paved the way for ETL process improvement.
The challenge
For Navent, with multiple lines of business, the analysis of the portfolio, sales, customer behavior, marketing and its multiple segmentations is a challenge in itself, due to the complexity and volume of data. The existing solution, in another public cloud, no longer met the scalability and performance needs of the business where there were multiple bottlenecks.
